The Ally Project will be performing with Orchestra Without Borders, in Homecoming: Celebrating the Legacy of Duke Ellington on March 22 at 3:30 PM at Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church in Somerville. In addition to featuring Terry Carter’s poetry along with a live string section and jazz combo, the rest of this program explores the connections between jazz and classical music, featuring Ellington transcriptions and music by William Grant Still.
From Jonathan Fagan: Luca is a phenomenal conductor that I have known since childhood, and collaborating with him on this concert represents one of the more meaningful projects I’ve undertaken this year.
