Good morning Medford! Happy Mother’s day for those who still have their mothers with them. Take a moment to at least call them if you can’t be with them today. As for today, the weather couldn’t be better! Take the win!
Two weeks ago we had Nick Guirleo as a guest on the show and yesterday we wrapped up our interview with 2024 Medford Citizen of the Year Rick Caraviello. That interview gets released either Monday or Tuesday this week. There is a lot of solid information there. Rick is a lifelong resident and over the years people forget what a contributor and advocate he was for the city of Medford and in some respects still does even to this day. We’ll have much more on him but watch the interview, you’ll agree the nomination was not only appropriate but long overdue.
Visitors to this site will have noticed that our blog has slowed down in regards to posting and that is on purpose. We’ve started to focus more on social media sites and its the usual places – Facebook/Reddit/X and coming soon – Instagram. Regardless of your thoughts about those platforms the unfortunate reality is this is where people get their news today. Its not great but you have to take your shot. We’ve also been huge fans of Gotta Know Medford but it feels like there is still a good chunk of the population that is unaware of their mission to pick up where the Transcript left off. It is doubtful that readers of this blog are unaware of them but if you are a visitor of this site please be sure to let your neighbors or even strangers know that this news site is for them!
